The international radio competition Prix Marulic ended on May 22nd. Two pieces have been awarded with the second prize. The radio drama “Country Cooking from Central France” and the documentary “Karma of Tin”.

Die Begründung der Jury lautete:
The jury’s explanation:
“Country Cooking from Central France” was a 50-minute “jeu d’esprit”, set in a fictional village of the Auvergne. It was a skilfully-structured, convincingly enacted adaptation by Jean-Claude Kuner of a short story by the American poet and novelist Harry Matthews … A clever, teasing, amusing post-modernist piece.
“Karma of Tin” – The sound impression is like India: chaotic, colourful, full of smells, full of people. Even after several listenings you discover new dimensions in the programme. The members of the jury were impressed by this beautifully-made documentary on an unfamiliar, fascinating subject, which was as informative as it was intriguing, amusing and evocative.
